RONA Inc., has also appointed Sylvain Girard as its new Chief Financial Officer. Girard, a seasoned leader with a proven track record in business strategy development and construction and materials industries, will join the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
J.P. Towner, President and CEO of RONA, expressed his confidence in Girard’s ability to contribute to the company’s vision of making RONA the best home improvement retailer in Canada. With over 30 years of experience in financial services management, Girard has held various roles, including Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at Atkins-Réalis and Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at Resolute Forest Products. He will work alongside his colleagues on the Executive Leadership Team, leading the finance teams at the Boucherville head office.
Canada’s leading home improvement retailer, RONA Inc., has announced the conversion of 18 stores to the RONA+ banner, including the last 16 Réno-Dépôt stores, the RONA L’Entrepôt Québec store, and RONA Home & Garden Winnipeg. This move is a significant milestone for the company, as it is sunsetting the Réno-Dépôt banner to better position RONA as its sole retail brand across the country.
