The CHPTA recognizes the importance of education and therefore encourages children of employees of our association member companies to attend university or college. To help offset the cost of a post-secondary education, the CHPTA has been pleased to offer a Scholarship Program.

In 2024, the program was renamed in memory of the Association’s former President Vaughn Crofford, who passed away in June of 2023.

The CHPTA Board of Directors is pleased to announce the Vaughn Crofford Memorial Scholarship Program recipients for the year 2025. The finalists were chosen by random draw, and this year we are pleased to award two scholarships to the following recipients.

Abby Munshaw

Abby is from London, Ontario, and is the daughter of Aimee Munshaw, Customer Service Lead for Quest Brands. Abby will be attending the University of Guelph this fall in the Bachelor of Arts program with a major in sociology and a minor in psychology. Her ultimate goal is to become a primary school teacher.

Dylan Howsam

Dylan is from Mississauga, Ontario, and is the son of Mike Howsam, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Accent-Fairchild Group (Meyer Canada). Dylan recently graduated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Secondary School in Mississauga, Ontario, and will be attending the University of Guelph for their five-year Marketing Management program with co-op in the fall. With this degree, he plans to get into the consumer products industry with a focus on developing and promoting exciting new product ideas.

The CHPTA would like to thank everyone who applied for this year’s scholarships and would like to congratulate and wish this year’s recipients well with their upcoming studies. Since 2001, the CHPTA has awarded $213,000 towards scholarships and some 113 young people have benefited from the program.
