Update on Submitting Supply Data to RPRA in 2022

Producers obligated under Ontario’s Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016 (RRCEA) regulations are required to report supply data through the Resource Productivity & Recovery Authority (RPRA)’s Registry annually including for the Hazardous & Special Products (HSP) & Blue Box Programs.

RPRA recognizes that additional time is needed for producers to submit their supply data in 2022. As the regulator responsible for enforcing the regulations under the RRCEA, RPRA is allowing registrants more time to collect the information needed for reporting.

Producers will be notified via email when their Registry portal opens for supply reporting. View the 2022 supply reporting timelines.

Provide Feedback on RPRA’s Proposed 2022 RRCEA Program Fees by April 25

As mentioned in the last CHPTA E-News Brief, RPRA is consulting on the proposed 2022 RRCEA program fees for producers and revised General Fee-Setting Policy.  These fees are charges that producers pay to RPRA annually to cover its costs related to building and operating the Registry and compliance and enforcement activities. These are not to be confused with the fees to be charged for the cost of collection etc.

The consultation is open for comment until April 25, 2022. You can submit feedback via email to consultations@rpra.ca.

RPRA hosted two webinars to walk through the proposal, answer questions and gain feedback from registrants and other interested stakeholders. View the webinar materials here.
