The CHPTA has been conducting online information sessions with our valuable member program partners over recent weeks to highlight key issues impacting companies in the industry and offer insights and solutions to help members better understand and deal with these every day business factors.

The latest session took place on August 17th with presentations from Purolator and Insuranceland.

Purolator Account Executive David Gizzie discussed recent steps the company has taken to better serve their customers during these challenging times as well as areas they are investing in for the future.  A number of examples of how Purolator is expanding access and their network as well as accelerating the digital experience for customers were reviewed.  David also discussed the advantages of being part of the Purolator’s buying group for CHPTA and COPA members.

As a CHPTA member you receive preferential rates with Purolator. By registering with the Association buying group, you can take advantage of an extensive network that reaches nearly every corner of the country; a complete suite of services including online shipping and time-guaranteed delivery; and best-in-class performance rates.  Try them out, even if only a part of your courier business and see how they can benefit your customer deliveries.

The second presentation was by Paul Hainer, President of Insuranceland, an independent family-run insurance broker established in 1982 which has been offering auto & home insurance for COPA members since 2009.  Paul touched upon some important topics in the insurance industry including changes to Statutory Accident Benefits that came into effect in 2016 that individuals should review when updating their auto insurance, why gap insurance/waiver of depreciation may be of benefit and in the area of home insurance the difference between overland water versus sewer back-up coverage.

We thank David and Paul once again for taking the time to talk to our members and for their continued support of the Associations.

We will be holding more Member Program Information Sessions throughout the fall so look for notices over the coming weeks.
