The CHPTA has been conducting online information sessions with our valuable member program partners over recent months to highlight key issues impacting companies in the industry and offer insights and solutions to help members better understand and deal with these every day business factors.   

The latest session took place on October 29th with presentations from North Atlantic Logistics Inc. and Convictional.


North Atlantic Logistics CEO Francine Goulet and Managing Director Rob Birch were on hand to talk about the continuing supply chain challenges and specifically with the issue of the high costs of containers and ocean ports in B.C. struggling to keep up with demand. As one of the largest intermodal rail service providers in Canada, North Atlantic International Logistics has been working with both CN and CP in an attempt to ease the constraints of the current supply chain crisis and offer very competitive rates to ship via rail across the country to your facility. They spoke of the situation where they can take advantage of clients that have freight containers that are heading from the east to the west coast which can then be utilized with product and materials be offloaded in Vancouver as containers are in short supply.
