The Association recognizes the importance of education, and therefore encourages children of employees of our association member companies to attend university or college. To help offset the cost of a post-secondary education, the CHPTA has been pleased to offer a Scholarship Program.

The CHPTA Board of Directors is pleased to announce the Scholarship Program recipients for the year 2022. The finalists were chosen by weighted ballot draw and this year we are pleased to award two scholarships:

Cole Travers – Cavan, Ontario

Cole is the son of Mark Travers who works for King Marketing Ltd.

Cole has been accepted into the BAcc Co-Op Program (Bachelor of Accounting Co-Op) at Brock University and hopes to become a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Keira Gagliardi – Baie D’urfé, Quebec

Keira is the daughter of Mark Gagliardi who works for J.L. Gagliardi & Associates Ltd.

Keira will be attending McGill University this fall in the Desautels Management Program with a double focus in Marketing and Finance.  Keira is not sure yet what she would like to do in the future but Media Marketing is an interest.

The CHPTA would like to thank everyone who applied for this year’s scholarships and would like to congratulate and wish this year’s recipients well with their upcoming studies. Since 2001, the CHPTA has awarded $207,000 towards scholarships and some 107 young people have benefited from the program.
